Where this comes from
I'm a career coach who spends every day working with transitioning military, veterans, military spouses, family support members, and all job seekers. Hundreds of one-on-one intakes a year. Real resumes. Real interviews. Real offers.
I built JobSearchFix because the same three problems kept showing up in every intake — and coaching one person at a time doesn't scale to the number of people who need help right now.
What I kept seeing
The same three problems, over and over:
1. Great resumes were getting filtered out by ATS keyword matching — not because the candidate wasn't qualified, but because their military or specialized experience was written in the wrong language for the target role. 2. LinkedIn profiles were invisible to recruiters who search with boolean strings — the right nouns weren't on the page. 3. Interview prep was generic. People walked into behavioral rounds with STAR answers memorized from a YouTube video, not built from their actual story.
Coaching one person at a time, I could fix all three. But hundreds of people a year, one intake at a time, doesn't scale. The candidates who moved fastest were the ones I could hand a *system* to — a repeatable way to tailor a resume in 15 minutes, sharpen a headline in 5, and drill an interview loop in an afternoon.
What JobSearchFix is
JobSearchFix is that system, productized. Same coaching DNA I use one-on-one, run by an AI coach (K.E.N.N.Y.) built with:
- PII scrubbing before anything hits the AI. SSNs, emails, phones, addresses — stripped in the browser and again on the server before Claude ever sees the text. Names go too. Location context stays because it matters.
- A truthful prompt. The model is instructed to never invent numbers, employers, or credentials. Missing information becomes a [BRACKET] placeholder for you to fill in, not a hallucination.
- Reverse-chronological, 2-page discipline. Every tailored resume respects the same rules a good coach enforces in one-on-ones — newest first, 10-year civilian lookback, all military experience preserved.
- Military translation on by default. Rank, MOS/rating, and jargon → civilian terms, with outcomes leading (leadership scope, budget, headcount, results).
Who this is for
Everyone I've been coaching for years — plus everyone who couldn't get on my caseload because there weren't enough hours in the week.
Transitioning military, veterans, military spouses, family support members, students, cleared professionals, and the general job seeker who's tired of applying into the void.
The tools are the same across all of them. The coaching is honest, structured, and designed to reduce uncertainty while increasing preparedness.
